Hornet Hustle - Thursday March 6!
Hawthorne Elementary Auction is the Foundation's other big fundraiser!
An auction with items that are donated by classes, parents, teachers, local businesses, and corporate sponsors.
Whether in-person or online, all proceeds go directly to the Foundation.
Auction volunteers secure, inventory, and organize donated items.
Parents, families, friends, teachers, community members, etc. all bid on the items.
Highest bid wins at the auction end time and are delivered accordingly.
Hawthorne Elementary School community wins by using the proceeds to elevate the education we are able to provide its students to a superior academic experience, which cannot be done with the district budget alone.
Please, celebrate our amazing neighborhood school with us, and help raise money to support our students and teachers need!

On Saturday, November 9, 2024 the Hawthorne Elementary School Foundation will kick off our 14th annual Hawthorne Elementary Auction. Our in-person Casino Night event is on the evening of November 9th, and as DeKalb County’s only inclusion elementary school, Hawthorne serves students across the county of all abilities side-by-side in each classroom. Our school credo encourages our children to remember that they can “...achieve and succeed at anything [they] set out to do.” We hope to raise $20,000 at this year's auction.
